How to prepare for design and architecture entrance exams

Yash Agrawal Posted 2 months ago 1.5K views

Different programmes use different exams. For example, NATA is used for architecture, UCEED for design programmes at some IITs, and NIFT and NID have their own tests.

  • Practise drawing and sketching every day.
  • Build observation and visual thinking skills.
  • Learn basic mathematics and general awareness for architecture exams.
  • Read each exam brochure for the pattern and the dates.

Keep a sketchbook. It also helps in portfolio rounds.

Sketch from real objects, not only from photos. It builds proportion and observation.

Practice improves drawing a lot. Consistency matters more than natural talent.
