What happens during the five day SSB interview?
The Services Selection Board interview is a five day process at a Selection Centre. It tests personality and officer like qualities, not only knowledge.
- Day 1 is the screening stage with an intelligence test and a picture perception and discussion test.
- Candidates who pass screening continue to psychology tests, group tasks and the personal interview.
- Group testing officer tasks check teamwork, leadership and planning.
- A conference at the end brings the assessors together to take the final decision.
Be natural, honest and consistent. A routine of fitness, reading and clear speaking helps more than memorised answers.
