NDA exam: eligibility basics and how the selection process works
The National Defence Academy exam is conducted by UPSC for entry into the Army, Navy and Air Force wings, usually twice a year. Always check the latest notification for exact dates and conditions.
- The written exam has two papers: Mathematics and General Ability Test.
- Candidates who clear the written exam are called for the SSB interview at a Selection Centre.
- For the Air Force and Naval wings you need Physics and Mathematics in Class 12. The Army wing is open to Class 12 pass candidates from any stream.
- Women candidates are now eligible to apply as well.
- Age limits and medical standards are strict, so read the notification carefully.
Start with NCERT Mathematics and the basics of English and general science from Class 8 to 12.
